GSB 75th Anniversary Homecoming
August 4-7, 2019
Enrollment Deadline: June 1, 2019
Note: Due to the interactive nature of this program, the GSB 75th Anniversary program is limited to 75 students. Alumni of GSB residential schools will be given priority registration; non-alumni banking industry professionals will be considered after March 1, 2019 on a space available basis.
Join other GSB alumni and financial industry professionals for a special bank management forum as part of GSB’s 75th anniversary session. We’ve developed an outstanding 2 ½ day program with some of GSB’s top-rated instructors who’ll share timely, practical and actionable solutions to some of today’s top competitive challenges.
Of course, no homecoming would be complete without an array of networking and social events! So, we’ve structured the program with classes in the morning and afternoons open to leave plenty of time for networking and fun-filled local excursions in and around Madison. (We’re planning some great social events and tours – perhaps a golf outing, dinner cruise and other fun events! See a detailed schedule here
Celebrate Innovation - Program Overview
Evolution is becoming revolution. An evolutionary pace of change has been good enough for generations of our predecessors because we only had to compare ourselves to a narrow band of very similar competitors. Our customers didn’t really have a lot of other viable choices anyway. That is no longer the case. The rise of fintech means that change is now happening at a revolutionary pace. Every single product and service that banks offer, and every single line on our income statements, now have one or more non-traditional substitutions. It’s now possible for consumers (and businesses for that matter) to conduct their entire financial lives without direct relationships with traditional financial institutions.
The rise of financial technology– FinTech – over the past few years has changed the very definition of “banking”. The competition is getting stronger, and is no longer limited to just a narrow peer group of similar institutions. Moreover, every part of the traditional banking business model is under attack by creative and well-funded new competitors from Silicon Valley and beyond. Today’s bankers need to understand this changing landscape, and they need to be able to navigate their teams and their institutions through it safely and profitably. This special program brings the best cutting edge materials from our classrooms to our alumni, custom tailored for our attendees to be both timely and actionable.
